About Wildflower Community
The core beliefs emphasized from these pedagogues are:
- Student's choices in their education are important.
- The classroom environment should behave as the third teacher.
- The most valuable lesson a student can learn in the studio is how to behave as an Artist.
When students are seen as competent and their ideas are respected, then their love for learning flourishes. The goal for this program is to allow children & teens to build confidence in their creativity by choosing the concepts they want to explore, and discovering their own artistic processes.
The classes held by Wildflower Community aim to help students develop their Studio Thinking habits by offering an intentionally crafted choice-based classroom. Rather than focusing on the end product, instead students will learn how to behave as an artist by developing their craft, persisting through trials and mistakes, and reflecting on their process.
